  • Migrant Education Tutoring

If you are the parent of migrant-eligible children, please be aware that small-group tutoring is now available for your child at Nome Elementary School (all subjects),  Anvil City Science Academy (all subjects) and Nome-Beltz High School (English and Math).

Students may be referred to tutoring by their teacher, by parent request, or self-referred (for older students).  Space is limited since it is a small-group setup, but if you want to request tutoring for your migrant-eligible child, or if you would like more information, please contact the following tutors directly:

Nome Elementary School - Nick Treinen - ntreinen@nomeschools.org
    Anvil City Science Academy - Lisa Leeper/Colleen Johnson/Jeff Collins - lleeper@nomeschools.orgcjohnson@nomeschools.orgjcollins@nomeschools.org
    Nome-Beltz - Jennifer Shreve (English) - jshreve@nomeschools.org, Matt Johnson (Math) - mjohnson2@nomeschools.org

The Migrant Education Office provides each migrant-eligible child a pack of school supplies.  Distribution will begin in late October and continue through mid-November.  A letter will be included in the pack to parents.

If you are unsure of your child's eligibility status, or for more information about qualifying for migrant services, please contact Jamie Burgess, NPS Migrant Education Office at jburgess@nomeschools.org
