Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska Southeast, Highly-Qualified Status
Emily Stotts, 2nd Grade
I am Emily Stotts of Nome, Alaska. I returned to my hometown about six years ago and began my career in education, teaching at the very same elementary school I attended as a child. In my spare time, I manage the local “one-stop-shop” for everything pet-related: The Nome Animal House. I also volunteer as a board member for the local animal advocacy non-profit organization: PAWS of Nome. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Lucas, as well as our three dogs and our cat. My classroom is a healthy place to be, where kids want to come to learn and can feel safe to make mistakes or take chances! With the right mixture of structure and silliness, we will enjoy a school year of great growth in, not only our kiddos but hopefully, ourselves!
