    Nome Schools has updated or is in the process of updating many of the staff, student, and family email and cell phone numbers in PowerSchool and SchoolMessenger service based off of this years enrollment and phone tree information. 
     
    If we have an email address for Students, Guardians / Families, you will begin receiving school alerts via email from SchoolMessenger.
     
    If you have not already opted in with your cell phone, if your cell phone number was recently changed, or your cell phone number was recently added, you should receive a text message from NomeSchools SchoolMessenger SMS Service number: 67587.  Please reply with a "Y" to the text message you receive, or you can text “Y” to 67587 to Opt-in to this SMS service.
     
    Once you Opt-in, you will receive the SchoolMessenger alerts for emergencies, school closures, and other information sent via this process on your cell phone as well as email.

  • Human Sexuality Presentation

    Students in grades 7 and 8 will have a series of presentations from a NSHC Public Health nurse on human sexuality over the next several weeks.  Per School Board Policy, the materials are available for parent review at the links below.  Parents also have the opportunity to opt their student out of the presentation.  Letters regarding the presentation and the opt out procedure have been sent home.  For further information, please contact Misty Tweet, Junior High Counselor, at mtweet@nomeschools.org or call NBHS at 443-5201.
