Dear Nome Beltz Middle High School Students, Staff, and Families,
I wanted to let you know about a situation that occurred at our school this morning. The school received information regarding a situation that caused us concern for the safety of staff and students. Following district protocols we implemented a STAY IN PLACE that would allow us time to resolve the situation without student movement in the halls. During a STAY IN PLACE students and staff STAY IN PLACE and those that are not involved in the incident remain in their classrooms and continue as normal. Once the STAY IN PLACE lifted, students and staff may once again move about the building.
I am very appreciative of our students and staff for their safe and responsible behavior throughout the incident, and the quick response and support from the Nome Police Department to assist in addressing the situation.
