About me....

Hi, I am Denise Payton, your long term sub.  I taught for 28 years in Oklahoma - 20 years math, last 8 years was computer science (loved!!).  Last year was my first year of retirement, and I had a wonderful year subbing around Alaska.  My first assignment was in Koliganek, Alaska (off the Nushagak River).  I subbed 6-12 math and science.  I was there from August-November 1.  The day after Thanksgiving I left my home in Oklahoma to head toward Ekwok, Alaska (same school district as Koliganek).  I subbed K-7 reading.  I made it home on Christmas Eve.  Then March 1-May (end of school) I was in Kokhanok, Alaska (off of Lake Iliamma).  I subbed grade 2-5. All three assignments was absolutely wonderful!!!  I loved the children, and all of the people!!  Retirement for me so far has been a blast!!!
