Biography

Hi! My name is Meghan Ten Eyck, I am the oldest of four girls.  I am also a part of the few, the proud, the left-handed! :) I did my student teaching here at Nome Elementary and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alaska Pacific University with a degree in Elementary Education in December 2005.  I starting teaching Kindergarten at Nome Elementary School in August of 2006. In March 2009, I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix. 

I believe music and movement are essential to early childhood learning.  So don’t be surprised if you come in the classroom and we are singing and dancing! :) 

This is one of the most exciting years for you and your child.  The growth that happens in kindergarten is absolutely amazing!  Kindergarten is the foundation for your child’s education, so it is very important that your child is at school everyday.
