Biography

Doug grew up in southwest Montana and graduated from Montana State University. He met the love of his life, Meg at the Alaska Teacher Job Fair in Fairbanks in 1991. He taught math and English while coaching in Montana before going into administration and moving to Colorado in 2002. He was a superintendent, principal and teacher in Colorado until retiring in February of 2023. He is fulfilling his goal of being and Alaska educator by joining the Nome School District.
